Late shree devjibhai dhamecha was the founder of the business. He lived very simple yet adventurous life. He was a nature lover and passionate for wild life photography. He spent his whole life in Little Rann of Kutch enjoying the real beauty of Rann and because of the huge experience of kutch he know as conductress for LRK.

He was a government employe in indian railways. but to follow his passion and dream he quit the job and build the pillars of this business.

In 1990 he started this business from his home only where he used to provide simple home-stay facility and safari. And it continued for 17 years. Then in 2007 he purchased a site at jogad and shifted this business to jogad.

In 1990, he was invited by the Gujarat government's information department to click various photos of birds To recognized each birds by their name, "pankhi Melo" named book published He took 165 photographs for that. His photographs were also published in many diffrent magazine like the Gujarat Wildlife in 1995 and Better Photography in 2012, etc .

Worked With NGO

Devjibhai dhamecha was very kind and generous person. He worked with many NGOs. In early stage he joined an NGO of surendranagar and helped needly people self-lessly. In 2001’s rigid earthquake he was there to help needly people and provided them all kind of support to be stable with the help of NGO. Later on he worked with “SWATI”, “SEWA”, ”CEE”, “GANATAR”, ”JAN VIKASH”, ”VISAMO KIDS”, etc NGO’s.

He was also the Trustee of the “Agariya Hit Rakshak Manch”, An arganisation set up for the resolution of the agaria issue. As well as for the development. He was the president of arganisation called “prakruti Mandal” in Dhrangadhara which is working for the protection and promotion of the environment.

Nature Camps

Devjibhai dhamecha was a member of board directors of GEER Foundation Gandhinagar which does activities for environment protection and development. Also, in order to create awareness among the children about the protection and promotion of environment. Gir Foundation decided to set up Eco Clubs in every school of Gujarat. in 2001 “ECO CLUB” was established in around 250 schools of surendranagar district. In which devjibhai dhamecha was worked as district coordinator.

To aware and give knowlwdge about nature and wildlife Devjibhai dhamecha also done many nature camps in little rann of kutch of school and college students. They teach them how to value our environment and wildlife and what we can do to protect them.

Social Work

Devjinhai dhamecha was a social worker. He helped people to change their mindset and spread awareness for the issues related to child education, girls education and health. He organized various camps several times to persuade people to get rid of addictions etc.

In 1992 he organised the first “Introduction fair” in surendranagar district which aimed to provide and equally education life partner for every boy and girl and also organized many “mass weddings” to avoid excess expenditures of marriages.

Religious Activity

Devjibhai dhamecha was a social worker and a religious person. He used to go in Bhajans with his father in his childhood and the same routine continued till his father’s death in 1977. After that he look the place of his father and whole religious responsibilities in dhrangadhra. There is a place called many kind of religious functions and festivals are being celebrated every year.

Besides this, he continued a service of providing food to hungries and tired people in famous tarnetar fair at tarnetar place in surendranagar district. This fair every year held on bhadarva sud 4th, 5th, 6th. In this fair there come more than 35 different social organisations. In which holy devjibhai dhamecha was a minister. This fulfilling every responsibility satisfactorily and made his life successful.

Last Memory

To save nature, wildlife and for the rights of Agariyas Devjibhai Dhamecha filed many petitions. he was successed in many out of them. He was invited by forest department for the opening of “interpretation centre - bajana” in the LRK.

His love for nature and wildlife kept him attached to this till his last breath.To honour his achievements and experience Words and sentences are less In a memory of that great man We always miss him...
